How We Work

You can watch your roof get built

Every LGM job is photo-documented in CompanyCam as it happens, and every promise made at your walkthrough is captioned and timestamped. You don't have to take our word for anything.

Most roofing happens on a surface you will never stand on, using materials you will never see again once the next layer goes down. That is the whole reason it is easy to cut a corner — and the whole reason we document it.

Photo-documented as it happens

Our crews document the job in CompanyCam while they work — the deck once the old shingles come off, the flashing before it is covered, the ventilation, the finished detail. You see the parts of your roof that get buried by the next layer, which is exactly where a corner gets cut if anyone is going to cut one.

The 360 protection walk

After you sign, we walk the property with you and capture a captioned record of what gets moved, what gets protected, and what we leave alone — the garden beds, the AC unit, the cars, the shed. It means a punch list can be settled later against a record, not against two people's memory of a conversation.

Credentials you can check in a minute

NJ Home Improvement Contractor licence #13VH09733600 is verifiable through the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, and our GAF Master Elite ID #1112549 is verifiable on GAF's own site. We carry $2 million in general liability. Don't take our word for those either — look them up.

Start to finish

What actually happens, in order

  1. 01

    Free estimate visit

We get on the roof, look at the deck, the flashing and the ventilation, and photograph what we find. If your roof still has life in it, we will tell you that. The estimate visit is free, with no obligation and nothing to sit through afterwards. (If you want the full written photo report to keep — for a sale, or for your own records — that is our $199 roof inspection.)

  2. 02

    Written, itemised estimate

You get a written estimate that spells out scope, materials and cost, usually within one business day of the visit. We pull the permit; the permit fee is passed through at what it actually costs, as its own line, with nothing added on top.

  3. 03

    The 360 protection walk

Before any material arrives, we walk the property with you and record what will be protected and what will be moved. This is the step that prevents the awkward conversation at the end.

  4. 04

    Installation, photographed throughout

Tear-off, decking inspection, underlayment, ice-and-water shield, ventilation, shingles, ridge. If we find rotten decking once the old roof is off — the single most common surprise — you see the photo of it before we replace a board.

  5. 05

    Cleanup and warranty registration

We magnet-sweep the property and register your manufacturer warranty as a formal step in the job, not as something you chase us for afterwards.

About the photographs

Real jobs, with permission

The photographs on this site are our own job documentation — phone-shot, mid-job, in whatever light the day gave us. They are not stock photography and there are no models in them. That means they are sometimes less pretty than a catalogue shot, which we think is the point.

We publish a photograph only when the homeowner has ticked yes on the consent sheet we complete with them at signing, and only after it has been screened so house numbers, street signs, plates and neighbouring properties are not identifiable. It is a curated set, checked by hand — deliberately not a live feed from the field.
